Announcement for Employees of Indy Developmental Residential Service

We are delighted to inform you that the Indiana Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA) has granted approval for our request regarding the Direct Service Workforce Investment Grant.

Indy Developmental Residential Service has submitted a comprehensive plan to allocate the available funds in various ways for the benefit of our esteemed Direct Support Professionals. These funds will be utilized to offer bonuses, salary increases, establish a 401K program, and arrange Employee Appreciation Activities. These incentives are intended to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of our staff members who consistently meet eligibility requirements, fulfill training obligations, and maintain excellent attendance.

Furthermore, we would like to remind you of the additional benefits and opportunities we provide, which include:

  • Supplementary health care benefits
  • Paid time off
  • Bonuses and incentives for employees
  • Additional training and educational resources for employees

The first round of bonuses will be distributed on April 20th, 2023, to employees who have remained eligible during the first quarter of the year. Eligibility is determined by factors such as the number of face-to-face service hours dedicated to individuals, compliance with training and state requirements (such as holding a valid driver’s license and insurance), among other criteria. The bonus amount for eligible employees will be calculated based on the hours worked between January 1st, 2023, and March 31st, 2023.

In order to participate in this grant, Indy Developmental Residential Service must adhere to the following rules established by the FSSA:

a. Direct 95% of the grant funding to direct service workers.

b. Develop a plan outlining the distribution of grant funding to direct service workers. These plans must be publicly posted on our website and submitted as an attestation no later than December 22, 2022.

c. Respond to a final grant impact survey, which will evaluate the utilization of the grant funds. This survey will be issued in June 2023, coinciding with the third round of grant funding.

d. Allocate funds from each round prior to receiving the subsequent round of funding.

e. Fully comply with the HCBS Settings Rule.

To remain eligible for waiver service hours and qualify for bonuses, employees must continue to meet eligibility requirements and stay up to date with training obligations. We strongly encourage you to regularly visit our website for any updates regarding these matters.

We sincerely appreciate your exceptional contributions in positively impacting the lives of those we serve. Your dedication and commitment truly make a difference in every life we encounter!
